April 6th 2019 was an historical and significant day for the International Taekwon-Do Federation and World Taekwondo. As planned, the WT Delegation headed by Dr. Chungwon Choue, President of World Taekwondo paid a visit to the ITF Headquarters in Vienna, Austria and held friendly talks with Prof. Ri Yong Son, the ITF President.

Agreement between International Taekwon-Do Federation & World Taekwon-do

An Agreement between ITF & WT was adopted on the 2nd November 2018 in Pyongyang, DPR of Korea following the bilateral consultations with regards to the integration between two Federations.

Prof. Ri Yong Son, President of International Taekwon-Do Federation and Dr. Chungwon CHOUE, President of World Taekwon-do ratified the given Agreement. The signing ceremony was honoured by the presence of Prof. GM. Hwang Ho Yong, Senior Vice-President, Mr. Kim Chol Gyu, Director of Finance & Administration and Mr. Choi Hyong Chol, Deputy Chairman of Finance & Market Standing committee on the side of ITF

The 16th National ITF Taekwon-Do Championship of Afghanistan

Over 120 Taekwon-Do athletes from four provinces Kabul, Herat, Badakhshan and Balkh took part at the 16th National Taekwon-Do ITF Championship of Afghanistan held on 17th-18th of Jan 2019.

Due to unstable and risky situation in the country, AANTA representatives from other provinces of Afghanistan could not participate.

The competition was held at Dashta Barchi modern sport hall with a very positive impression on all the attendees.

The Championship was organized by All Afghanistan National Taekwon-Do Association ITF. The competitors presented as always a very good technical skills, especially in the sparring category of children. Medals, Cups and Certificates were awarded to all winners, Umpires, Referees and Coaches.

Göteborgs Open Championship

The Championship was organized by Göteborgs TK-D club and Taekwon-Do Sweden last weekend, 24/3, in Göteborg, Sweden.

There were approximately 120 participants from Greenland, Serbia and Sweden. The Championship, started at 10.00 AM ended at 17.00 PM including Tul, Matsoki, Special Techniques and Power Breaking. It was a real success.
